NTU HPC/AI Holds Its Inaugural Workshop

NTU HPC/AI welcomed 48 participants to a hands-on introduction to high performance and distributed computing.

NTU HPC/AI Club held its inaugural HPC/AI workshop in collaboration with Innovation Lab @ NTU CCDS, welcoming 48 participants for an introduction to high performance computing and distributed computing.

Learning through LULESH

The hands-on session introduced the fundamentals of HPC through LULESH—the Livermore Unstructured Lagrangian Explicit Shock Hydrodynamics mini-application developed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Participants worked on building and optimising LULESH while learning how computational work can be distributed and tuned to run more efficiently. The activity offered a practical look at the ideas behind scientific computing rather than treating HPC as a purely theoretical topic.
